I thing I saw a few people bring up is the thunderbolt displays that I could hook my peripherals up to. I originally got it so I'd have a quick solution on the go for usb stuff, but for a desktop environment it's just not cutting it anymore. ![]() Right now I have the equivalent of one of these for my laptop: but it's from 2017, struggles to stay in with a hdmi cable, requires far too many cables than I'd prefer and most infuriating: it can only do 1 display at around 60Hz (I have 2 diplays, one at 60hz and another at 144hz). My desktop does have thunderbolt out via the motherboard and I was wondering if getting something like a dockstation station meant for my macbook that connects to all of my peripherals (like ethernet, keyboard/mouse, external storage) and just manually unplugging and repluggin in the thunderbolt 3 cable every time I need to switch is viable.
